Description

Webinar on an interprofessional education (IPE) experience that provides students from public health, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, and clinical mental health the opportunity to collaborate as members of a unified command response team to a progressing infectious disease outbreak. The speakers will share the competencies, learning objectives, simulation and assessment materials that were developed and used to meet the curriculum goals of multiple health professions disciplines. This educational activity also provides a unique opportunity for students in clinical mental health counseling to engage interprofessionally in a simulation that encourages the contribution of their knowledge of the effects of trauma and uncertainty on community-level resilience. The activity focuses on population health and community-based practice rather than patient triage and care.
