APTR seeks to protect and expand the partnership between its members and federal agencies. APTR advocates increasing federal support for prevention and public health education, research and training.

  • Expanded opportunities for public health research
  • Increased Centers for Disease Control and Prevention funding to assure that research findings are translated into effective state, local and community programs.
  • Working to ensure health discretionary spending remains highly visible as Congress and the Administration set federal budget priorities.
  • Support for adequate training so that the health care workforce is trained to meet the needs of our diverse population.

The CDC Coalition's mission is to support a funding level for the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that enables it to carry out its mission to protect and promote good health and to assure that research findings are translated into effective state, local and community programs.

Friends of HRSA »

Friends of the Health Resources and Services Administration is an advocacy coalition of more than 175 national organizations, collectively representing millions of public health and health care professionals, academicians and consumers that strongly support the programs at HRSA designed to improve health and health equity by strengthening the health workforce and increasing access to quality health care for those who are medically underserved or face barriers to needed care.
