Interprofessional Education Resources

Resources produced or supported by APTR in interprofessional prevention education.

Instructor Guide: Population-Oriented Prevention

Instructor Guides are available for faculty to accompany the Case-Based Series in Population-Oriented Prevention (C-POP). C-POP provides a set of tools to integrate clinical- and community-based prevention into interactive teaching cases. The cases are designed to be adaptable for different levels of education, flexible to be tailored to local situations, and expandable to accommodate changes in the field.

Instructor Guides: CDC Epidemiology Case Studies

Preceptor versions of Case Studies in Applied Epidemiology that have been developed at CDC and used in training for Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Officers, "disease detectives”. Instructor versions only available to faculty.

Instructor Guides: SDOH Case Studies

Faculty guidance for series of APTR/ODPHP problem-based case studies aimed at deepening health professions students’ understanding of the significance of social determinants of health (SDOH) and how to incorporate information and insights about SDOH into their work.

Teaching Immunization for Medical Education (TIME)

The TIME modules provide ready-to-use instructional materials that can be integrated into existing medical curricula. The modules include vaccine indications and contraindications, immunization schedules, and recommendations on efficient ways to increase vaccination levels. The case-based modules are designed to encourage active, small-group learning, use modest amounts of faculty and learner time and are objective-driven. The materials provide student objectives, learning objectives, key teaching points, and resources.
