After completing this module, learners will be able to:
  • Describe and explain potential health effects of exposure to environmental pollutants in especially in connection to the Environmental Health Healthy People 2020 goals.
  • Attain an introductory comprehension of Environmental Health and how to identify a vulnerable population using case studies and published data.
  • Summarize and discuss seminal literature describing the human factors, and prevention implications related to the problem of health effects for certain populations.
  • Examine and evaluate policy solutions to address this risk using environmental and public health policy frameworks.
  • Acquire an awareness of the increased risk of environmental pollution and the complexity of health-promoting environments that relies on continuing research to understand more fully the effects of exposure to environmental hazards on people‚Äôs health.
