Bringing together individuals and institutions devoted to health promotion and disease prevention to redefine how we educate the health professions workforce.
The Tele-Preventive Medicine (TPM) service at Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University has been awarded the 2022 Outstanding Educational Program Award. This award honors an innovative program, department, or academic institution for advancing education in prevention and public health. Individuals responsible for the establishment, success, growth, or management of the academic program, which furthers students' interest in the field, are honored.
The Tele-Preventive Medicine (TPM) service is a 3-month rotation designed for the virtual delivery of clinical preventive services and lifestyle medicine interventions for a variety of populations, including patients in the Stony Brook Family Medicine Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH). The clinical care data generated in the TPM service form the basis of the content for the Population Health Rounds.
Congratulations to Stony Brook and Dr. Iris Granek, Clinical Professor and Founding Chair of the Department of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine
