APTR has signed on to the health professions letter regarding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and a legislative remedy. APTR is one of 70 Health Professions organizations which have signed on to ensure that the healthcare workforce with DACA status can continue their current employment, training, research, and education with a legal pathway to permanent residency. This is pertinent for undocumented Americans who were brought into the United States as a child. This will further encourage a diverse health professions workforce to help provide more adequate healthcare.
