Impacting Health through Evidence-Based Community and Clinical Interventions

The Association for Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announce the availability of funds to develop a series of three interprofessional problem-based case studies in population health for public health and clinical health professions students. The aim is to deepen health professions students’ understanding and ability to apply population health concepts and principles through exploration and analysis of three CDC and HHS initiatives: Health Impact in 5 Years (HI-5), Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH), and Million Hearts. Each case study should address Population Health Competencies developed by the Regional Medicine-Public Health Education Centers (RMPHEC), topic areas in the Clinical Prevention and Population Health Curriculum Framework, developed by the APTR Healthy People Curriculum Task Force, and leadership and change management concepts and strategies.
