Accepting Applications for APTR Residency Rotations in Preventive Medicine

APTR is pleased to
announce the availability of field placements (rotations) for preventive
medicine and primary care residents based at the Agency for Healthcare Research
and Quality (AHRQ) and the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion
(ODPHP).

Eligibility
This
opportunity is available for current preventive medicine residents with a focus
in general preventive medicine/ public health, occupational medicine, or
aerospace medicine. Primary care residents with demonstrated interest in
prevention, public health, or health policy are also encouraged to apply.
Residency
programs must be current institutional members of APTR. If a selected candidate
is from a residency program that is a non-institutional member of APTR, then
the applicant will need to become a resident member of APTR at the time of
acceptance.
Period of Performance
Two-month
rotations are available from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. Residents
select three rotation period preferences in consecutive intervals when
applying.
Financial Support
A stipend
of $3,100 per month and an administrative fee of $1,020 will be paid directly
to the residency program.

of recommendation from Residency Program Director
- Statement
of interest (for ODPHP only)
- Scientific
writing sample (for AHRQ only)
