The Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) has released Accreditation Procedures, Amended September 2013. These procedures were amended to included standalone baccalaureate public health programs (SBP). SBP are defined as programs that are not affiliated with graduate-level public health programs or schools of public health. Additionally, the procedures were amended to modify and clarify the public disclosure requirements associated with CEPH accreditation and to directly address the possibility of multiple accredited and/or applicant units within a single institution holding regional accreditation.
The first SBP applications are due on January 7, 2014 for February 2014 application decisions. Following a self-study process, the first site visits are anticipated for fall 2015.
