This webinar will begin with a presentation from the Council on Education for Public Health on the development of policies that support a climate of equity and inclusion followed by exemplars from Eastern Kentucky University and East Carolina University. Participants are encouraged to bring DEI curricula and syllabi or relevant materials to the 3 breakout sessions to address: - Priority Populations (recruitment, retention, and service to local communities)
- Policies and practices to advance DEI
- Curricular approaches to advance DEI
Learning Objectives Participants will: - Identify a planning process for establishing self-defined, priority underrepresented populations and associated goals.
- Describe policies that support a climate of equity and inclusion using examples.
- Describe approaches to incorporating DEI and cultural competency.
