APTR Releases New Curriculum Resources

Acceleration of Prevention and Population Health Education ProjectsAPTR is pleased to announce the release of two of the educational resources produced through the APTR/CDC Acceleration of Prevention and Population Health Education grant program, which seeks to expand and improve public health and health professions education by disseminating effective methods of integrating complex topics into existing courses and curricula. Each resource contains learning objectives and addresses specific core competencies. The topic areas of this first grant cycle were: - Community resilience and preparedness
- Health equity and social justice
- Access to care
Outbreak Experience: Simulating an Infectious Disease Outbreak to Improve Interprofessional Collaboration, Health Equity and Community Resilience An educational activity that places public health and health professions students in the role of interacting as a member of a multidisciplinary unified response team, requiring that they engage in effective teamwork as they collaborate in decision-making and communication in response to the rising threat of an infectious disease outbreak. A Scalable, Online, Interprofessional Health Equity and Social Justice Course These modules provide a scalable, online (live and asynchronous), interprofessional course addressing health equity, social justice, and access to care concepts.
