Census of Graduate Programs in Public Health
APTR and its Council of Graduate Programs in Public Health conducts an annual survey of all graduate programs in the United States that grant MPH and related degrees. This Census of Graduate Programs in Public Health is supported by a Cooperative Agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and seeks to inform the public health community about MPH Program institutions, curriculum, and students. The Census is an important tool for helping raise awareness about the important contributions of graduate programs.

The Census provides APTR and other academic public health stakeholders the tools to advocate for public health funding in order to strengthen the support for programs and highlight the unique benefits and distribution of graduate programs. Profiles of graduate programs are posted on the APTR Website in a Directory of Programs. APTR members are able to view detailed program profiles. The general public, including prospective students, can search for programs and view select fields.
Program Directors are invited to update their Program Profiles at any time at Click on "Profile" for the program director and select "Bio"to complete the program profile.
