<description><![CDATA[<p>APTR is excited to release the program details for Teaching Prevention 2021: Promoting Adaptability, Resiliency, &amp; Sustainability;&nbsp;March 8-10, 2021. </p><p>This virtual APTR annual meeting provides an opportunity to build your professional network from across the academic prevention community. Faculty from medicine, public health, and other health professions focus on the knowledge, skills, collaborations, and resources needed to teach, practice, and promote population health improvement. During Teaching Prevention, the academic prevention community will explore initiatives and share efforts across institutions, disciplines, and professions to advance innovative teaching, research, practice, and evaluation in prevention.</p>

<title>Teaching Prevention 2015 Comes to a Close</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>The APTR Annual meeting - Teaching Prevention 2015: Connect. Motivate. Innovate. Educate, held March 15-17, brought together health professions faculty to network and advance population health education.After the meeting kick-off on Sunday, attendees engaged in dialogue and discussion during the Training Prevention Champions Workshop.Mark S Sothmann, PhD; Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost of the Medical College of South Carolina welcomed attendees to Charleston during the Monday opening plenary session.  The opening plenary highlighted prevention initiatives underway in South Carolina and dynamic discussion around what types of partnerships can improve health outcomes.<br>

With a dynamic agenda, Teaching Prevention 2015 showcased a talented group of presenters.&nbsp;During the 2015 APTR Awards Luncheon, individuals were honored for advancing population health education.  APTR would like to thank the Medical College of South Carolina for its sponsorship of the luncheon.  Congratulations to this year's winners.<br>

During the Welcome Reception and Poster Presentation student and faculty presented posters on a variety of topics.  Thank you to the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston for its sponsorship of the reception.  Congratulations to the student poster recipients of the Certificate of achievement.</p>
