APTR Policy Committee
Chair: Sabrina M Neeley, PhD, MPH; Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine
Purpose
To provide APTR members with opportunities to engage with and participate in important public health policy issues.
Overview
This committee was established to identify policy issues of concern to APTR and APTR members that relate to prevention and public health generally and that also have particular relevance for those in prevention and public health education and research. The committee is charged with identifying one or two issues of greatest immediate importance, with a reassessment every year or 6 months to one year.
Duties of the Committee
- Identify useful teaching resources to share with the membership

Responsible for a session at the APTR annual meeting. The session could include an update on where the issue is in the policy stream, methods to teach on these particular issues in the classroom, and actions taken by APTR, members, and or student groups using the toolkit for action.
