Register Now for Teaching Prevention 2015

The APTR annual meeting, Teaching Prevention 2015: Connect. Motivate. Educate. Transformis designed to support and inspire educators as they work to advance population health education. Teaching Prevention will take place March 15-17, 2015 in Charleston, SC. 


The meeting program is evolving. Current plenary speakers include:

  • Anthony Keck, MPH - Director, Health And Human Services for South Carolina 
  • Andrew Maccabe, DVM, MPH, JD - Executive Director, Association Of American Veterinary Medical Colleges 
  • Kester S. Freeman, Jr, MA - Executive Director, South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public Health
  • Graham Adams, Phd - Chief Executive Officer, South Carolina Office of Rural Health
  • William P. Moran, MD - President, Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM) and Professor of Medicine and Director of General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics, Medical University of South Carolina 

This interactive meeting will offer a full schedule of programming in both new and traditional formats:

  • Plenary sessions around common themes
  • Lightning Presentations provide a quick overview of ideas, experience, and programs related to population health education
  • Roundtable Discussions allow for small-group discussion around a specific topic
  • Group Exploration provide attendees with dedicated time and structure to explore session topics in order to expand professional relationships and advance issues presented
  • Networking Sessions designed to enhance and expand your professional and knowledge base
