The Association for Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR) and
its Council of Graduate Programs in Public Health regularly sponsors an online
survey of all graduate programs in the United States that grant MPH and related
degrees. This Census of Graduate Programs in Public Health is supported by a
Cooperative Agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
and seeks to inform the public health community about MPH Program institutions,
curriculum, and students.
The Census helps APTR and other academic public health
stakeholders to advocate for public health funding, strengthen the support for
programs, and highlight the unique benefits and distribution of graduate
programs. Profiles of graduate programs are currently posted on the APTR
Website in a Directory of Programs. In the Program Directory, APTR
members can view detailed program profiles. The general public, including
prospective students, can search for programs and view select fields.
Program Directors are asked to update their Program Profiles before September 20, 2013.
The Census is an important tool for helping raise awareness about
the important contributions of graduate programs. Update your program’s profile
today at www.aptrweb.org. If your need assistance logging-in or accessing your profile, please call 202-463-0550 x129 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
