Teaching Prevention 2016 is designed to support and inspire educators as they work to advance population health education. Teaching Prevention will take place March 13-15, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM. Teaching Prevention 2016: Preparing Students to Address Emerging Issues - will tackle important topics facing our world.  How can health professions educators increase the capacity of students to confront health inequities and improve population health?  

This interactive meeting offers a full schedule of programming in both new and traditional formats:

  • Plenary sessions around common themes
  • Lightning Presentations provide a quick overview of ideas, experience, and programs related to population health education
  • Roundtable Presentations allow for small-group discussion around a specific topic.
  • Group Discussions provide attendees with dedicated time and structure to explore session topics in order to expand professional relationships and advance issues presented 
  • Networking Sessions designed to enhance and expand your professional and knowledge base

This meeting is designed for health professions faculty and students; program directors of public health programs, and chairs of departments of preventive medicine/population health.
