The APTR Healthy People Curriculum Task Force (HPCTF) lead the Successful Practices Project in collaboration with the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) to identify successful examples of teaching prevention, population health, and public health in 2-year and 4-year undergraduate institutions, as well as in graduate health professions education programs. Ninety-eight applications were received in response to a Request for Applications (RFA) that was released February 2011. Members of the HPCTF reviewed the applications from health professions education programs and thirty-five were selected and developed into full case studies. AAC&U reviewed and selected twelve applications to develop into case studies from undergraduate public health programs. AAC&U and members of the HPCTF worked with the authors of the applications they were selected to develop the case studies that are presented here.
