This 45-minute session on community-initiatives around the ninth of 12 Leading Health Indicator (LHI) topics released by the US Department of Health and Human Services will highlight one program's success improving graduation rates.

Series Learning Objectives

  1. To raise awareness of the Healthy People 2020 Leading Health Indicators (LHIs) and actions that can be taken to address them.
  2. To examine the context in addressing each LHI topic.
  3. To explore how states, communities, and organizations are addressing the LHIs using innovative and evidence-based approaches.

New Systematic Reviews and Findings Added to the Community Guide – September 2012

The Community Preventive Services Task Force issued the following based on evidence from systematic reviews conducted by Community Guide scientists and partners. These findings are posted in advance of the associated journal publications so they may be used immediately. Click on an underlined intervention title below for a brief summary of the review.
